The Mallory Project

"Find something you're passionate about and keep tremendously interested in it." – Julia Child

I am writer. I don’t make my living as a writer (yet), but my life is writing. My heart is in fiction writing, and I’m slaving away on screenplays and novels in my spare time. I’ve had the most luck getting newspaper articles published. You can find some of my articles here and here. If you have a little time to kill, you can always check out the Harry Potter Fan Fiction I wrote in high school.

When I’m not writing, I love watching TV and movies, and reading a wide variety of books. The Mallory Project is just a place for me to write about those two loves. I review movies, both new movies that I’ve seen in theaters and old(er) movies I watched on DVD. I also talk about TV shows, books, music, and things happening in pop culture. I also look at TV and movies from a media criticism angle.

I also detail my fight against chronic pain, something I’ve been dealing with for almost my whole life.

Finally, I cover my journey to getting my fiction published. Sometimes I’ll post short fiction for reviews, sometimes I’ll bounce new ideas around. Really, it’s just a fun way for me to procrastinate justifiably. I might not be writing, but I’m still working on my writing…

*I added this because of a suggestion from a reader, and several of my friends. If you want to donate money, I want you to know that it will go towards my writing, my filmmaking, my cooking, or my path to health. If you want to know exactly how I’m using it, send me an email, or leave a comment and ask. I’m an open book. 🙂
